"El diablo cazador de hombres" - Only in the hottest years this happens. And this year, it grows hot"
The most unexpected highlight of the vacation was our spontaneous trip to Eden and the movie set of the '87 Summer Blockbuster (and Dad's favorite movie) "Predator" - we took a harrowing cab ride up the side of a mountain on a narrow dirt trail and were rewarded with free admission to the park and a serious jungle hike!
The Hyatt Ziva (aka Camino Real) proudly boasted of housing the star of the "famous" movie
We loved that it "mattered" that the movie was filmed locally - the set is 36 years old - several bus loads of tourists visit the site daily
"Get to the Chopper!" Everyone get's their picture taken with the helicopter
This pool was known for collecting dead enemy soldiers during the jungle battle
We racked up 21k steps and 85 flights of stairs for the day
"There is something out there waiting for us, and it ain't no man"
"Whatever it is out there, it killed Hopper, and now it wants us"
"If it bleeds, we can kill it"
"What the hell are you?"
Awesome surprise to get to trek through the jungle in the same places they filmed the movie!
Puerto Vallarta was a great Spring Break experience - best in class beach, delicious food, wild experiences & moments to be remembered for life!
