Puerto Vallarta Part 1 - Around the Resort

Spring Break rarely brings travel for us but 2022 was different!  We found ourselves counting the days to our trip to Puerto Vallarta!  The Hyatt Ziva was a our home for a week and we enjoyed a large room, incredible food, and the best quarter mile stretch of beach in the area!  Good planning had us traveling out early Saturday and maximized our time to chill out!

A short early flight meant we were enjoying lunch by 130pm and on the magnificent beach by 2!
Views:
Directly West - somebody should move those palm trees - they are blocking the ocean!
South
We were conveniently located on the 2nd floor
The original hotel built in 1961
Main building filled with restaurants & shopping
The Mexican Restaurant
Mom & Dad never set foot in the pool but the girls did
Other grounds ambience

Just South of the Hyatt was a gorgeous 6 level home built to maximize the amazing sunsets & ocean views
Luxury homes built on the hillside
Mom's view from her beach chair
As much as we enjoyed lounging we mostly stayed active, repeatedly walked the quarter mile ocean stretch and stopped for some occasional hijinx

Taylor runs while a Pelican dives into the water in the background - the local Pelicans were massive and top of the food chain around the resort

Twins!

On our 1st full day we built a sizable castle and protective wall

It withstood several wave hits but fell victim to young vandals when left unattended for several hours

The sunsets were awesome and we watched each one - we took many photos but this was one of my favorites
After sunsets we headed out to dinner - the Mexican Restaurant was our favorite and we ate there twice!  The 1st time there was a 10 person table next to us had multiple former "Bachelorette" contestants (Mom overhead that!)
Late night Tik-Tok's outside the Coffee Shop
We lucked out and caught some fireworks the 1st night
We even were motivated enough to get a family picture!
