Cozumel Mexico Part 1

After a little over 18 months we were finally headed back on vacation.  This time we were traveling as 4 of a 12 person party - Along for the trip were Kevin & Beth - parents on the Soccer team and Coach (Kevin) of the Purple Panthers basketball team.  Their daughter Addison(9) and son Jason(7) round out their family.  Also invited were friends Stoney, Sara and his daughters Lilly(9) & Ella(5).  We were blessed with amazing weather after the previous week had been complete Tropical Storm fueled washout

The Resort
The resort had a nice layout and things were easy/quick to get to.  There were a few restaurants with buffet style layouts.  Two nights we ate at select smaller venues for Steak & Tex-Mex.  There were several large pools that held most of the hour-to-hour action during the day.  The beach was good for walks and snorkeling.  There was just enough wildlife to keep you on your toes but unfortunately that included mosquito's.
One on the main dinning areas which was conveniently located poolside
Swim up bar which turned into a kids favorite as the week progressed
Fairly rural settings around the grounds - below is the south view which included some abandoned construction projects and several beachfront mansions
North view - rocky shorelines and trees
Beachfront and our home for 7 days/ 6 nights

There were several cats on the property but this Orange Tabby was the leader
The Night Life
There were daily activities and nightly shows to keep us entertained - below are a few of our favorite Star Friends including Dad's #1 Yoga instructor Cecelia and Mom's boy-toy Orlando

Taylor may have grown up too much during the week developing an interest in male performers & Strawberry Daiquiri's
Pirate Night
We found ourselves as part of the entertainment when we were drafted for "The Ideal Couple."  The kids sat in the front row in awe of our new found stardom as we were lead through a series of progressively more degrading tasks until a winner was crowned - we all lost to Couple #4 who were here from "Over the Pond on Holiday" and our consolation prize is that we now have Facebook friends from England

Looking for shells - we found a few keepers

On the morning of our afternoon departure we engaged in a vacation tradition of decorating a shell and placing it on a dedicated beach tree - We all added our name and initials
