Soaring summer temperatures have given way to mild Fall conditions and we are doing everything we can to stay busy. We have leaned heavily on a few local attractions to keep the weekends full. Dinosaurs, Thrill Rides, and Halloween Frights have all been on the calendar.
We bought fully loaded Six Flags family passes that are good through the end of '17. We'll try to keep track of how many times we actually get there. Visit 1 - Labor Day: An after lunch arrival found us facing long lines - not for the rides, but for the concessions! We spent about 6 hours at the park, got completely drenched on Roaring Rapids, and discovered that a family of 4 can feast on just 2 meal plans!
For the last ride we hit the Harley Quinn
One of our favorite Fall milestones is the heralded "Donuts with Dad." For the 2nd year in a row it fell on College Spirit Day so the girls donned their CMU gear for the festivities. We lucked out and got to sit with our friend Baylie and had a great time devouring the breakfast treats.
Another tradition - for 2 years in a row we spent Columbus Day walking Dinosaur Trails and having a picnic at the Heard Museum. We loved checking out the local wildlife while J&T posed with a few of their favorites
Columbus Day weekend also brought 6 Flags trip # 2 - for Fright Fest! The park was decked out for the bewitching season. We couldn't have had a better day - we enjoyed 8 hours and exited just as the serious frighting began! Highlights included eating at the "Healthy Place" twice, hitting a variety of coasters, and Jordan riding the towering Sky Screamer with Dad!
Early in the day we interacted with some playful ghouls

Pictures in several scare zones
Mom & Taylor stop for a selfie and we always get a picture in this chair even if it is of a sassy girl trying to figure out how to carry everyones drinks!
Beware...
More Halloween to come!
