13 months since our last vacation - finally our week at the beach arrived. After our last great trip to the Florida panhandle in '12 we made good on our desire to return - this time to a more low "key" destination in Perdido Key. The 11 hour ride was well worth the investment as we enjoyed fantastic weather and exciting outings over the sun-soaked week. The girls really dug the beach as sandcastles, boogie-boarding, and walks were a daily occurrence. We were very happy with the amenities at the Palacio including the birds-eye view & distance from the ocean. All good things must come to an end as has our week at the beach but the memories remain!

Day 1 - Dad looks on while the girls are quick to hit the surprisingly large waves on their boards
Mom gets in to get a closer look at the girls "hanging 10"
Dude, these grommets totally rip!
As the week continued we also enjoyed relaxing with our feet in the water,
sporting our favorite visor,
catching Crabs,
and making sandcastles!

Jordan poses by her kingdom - then both girls crush the castles
We moved on to to bigger projects during the week including this 6 ft dolphin which was inspired by the upcoming fall soccer season!
By far the best castle we saw during the week was a Minion motivated masterpiece
This was a frequent sight from our beach seats
Throughout the week we did feel a gentle tug-of-war going on between Mom & Dad's preference for the ocean vs. Jordan & Taylor's quest for maximum pool time. We worked out a rotation that satisfied all parties!

Got lots of work on our jumps & throws - here are some of our favorites
Night swimming! The girls chat it up as the pool burns red from a picture-perfect sunset
We even remembered to get a family beach picture...
...and some sunset shots of J&T
