4th of July Flood

Just after returning from a week in paradise, the 4th of July was upon us.  It ended up being a weird 24 hours as Frisco was surprised with ~7 inches of rain between 8pm and Midnight the evening of July 3rd - leading to disastrous flooding through the Trails Golf Course, Cottonwood Creek Trail, and Fairways Neighborhood

Just before midnight, Sleepy Hollow Trail (just 1 street South of us in the Fairways) is engulfed in several feet of water after a Storm Drain becomes clogged
Trails Golf Course
(4th of July am) The Driving Range with lots of standing water
Demolished bridge on the 9th hole
Cottonwood Creek Trail
The majority of the East stretch of the trail was under multiple feet of water during the peak of the flood causing all kinds of damage

Recently planted trees were torn from the ground
The East side of the Wakeland High School practice fields were also submerged and the fence leveled
Fairways 4th of July Parade
An odd 4th of July tradition is the Fairways parade - the route heads right through Sleepy Hollow Trail which just hours earlier was submerged...the water receded and the parade rolled on

Frisco Fireworks
J&T took off with their pals so after having dinner with friends Mom & Dad made their way to the Frisco Fireworks
