Once we arrived in Colorado Springs we immediately headed to one of our favorite spots - Garden of the Gods - we enjoyed hiking the trails and checking out the relics!
We appreciate Mr. Perkins commitment to keep the park free & we climbed really high to get this view of the "3 Graces" reaching into the sky

We spent extra time in the area around "Balancing Rock" and found several other balancing rocks

We all worked hard to get to scenic spots for pictures
The next day we headed to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo - we took the sky ride and soaked in some awesome weather and breathtaking views
Jordan & Giraffes
We spent several hours walking the zoo and ensured we did not skip any exhibits - yet the only other pictures we got were of an aggressive chicken & disinterested Wallaby
Later that day we headed to the Ghost Town Museum - they had a great Old West collection and awesome gift shop!
We made spectacles of ourselves when we dropped a quarter in the "Express Coin Piano" and it blasted notes through the entire museum
Later that night we enjoyed a tradition of heading to downtown Colorado Springs for dinner at Jose Moldoon's and some great Mexican Food
After dinner we braved a light drizzle and played 18 holes of miniature golf - Jordan sank the lone "hole-in-one" of the contest and snapped some celebratory photos
Mom connected with her High School friend Amber - later she stalked and eventually got inside another High School friends (Sara) former residence
In Manitou Springs we came across a memorable sight & beautiful memorial for Jinx - a fallen Veteran of the local K9 unit

Glenwood Springs - a pleasant surprise of our stay were the tributes to Doc Holliday

We enjoyed dinner in the namesake restaurant - Mom managed to eat there twice!
We spent the entire next day at the Glenwood Hot Springs - there were nice views, multiple pools with differing temperatures, waterslide, and diving board
Mom & Dad enjoyed a late dip and sunset selfie - Dad would test positive for COVID < 24 hours after this photo
