Cabo Part 1 - Around the Pool & Resort

After months of planning and anticipation our 2019 family vacation was here!  We had 8 days/7 nights booked at the Paradisus in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.  Know for its incredible weather, Cabo did not disappoint and we baked in the sun the entire week without even a threat of rain.  The resort was outstanding as we enjoy Family Concierge service, friendly/skilled employees, and the best food of any destination we've traveled to - what an amazing week!

Before we could enjoy our vacation we had to get there - we headed to DFW Airport for a reasonable 10:30am flight
Kids play their devices prior to boarding
Away we go - after a short delay, we took off and landed safely after viewing in flight movies on a relatively new plane - the Customs wait was short and we were at our resort, The Paradisus, in time to swim & late lunch

Taylor gives a pre-flight thumbs up and everyone gets comfortable for the flight
We loved this view from our balcony
Local birds borrowed into this 15ft tall cactus - we later found they feed on the plant but do not nest
View of the Family Concierge wing - we stayed on the 3rd floor in 4409
Main Building
The 2nd floor bar had a great view & terrific service - an inviting place to hang out before dinner
Main pool area
We set-up in the same 6 pool chairs daily - Dad would secure them early by unrolling the towels & laying random pool items on them
Poolside bar - great drinks, service & a perhaps the only negative of the trip - a slight bee problem
We spent hours everyday at the pool but have few pictures to show for it - 4 kids is too much for the burrito float
Mom & Twins enjoy another sunny day
Taylor was a fish on the trip and clocked the most time in the pool & ocean - she also liked to take afternoon siesta's in the Pod chairs
Jordan flashes a peace sign during pool aerobics & gets caught out of water during a pool game
The Gabi Beach restaurant & bar where we enjoyed many lunches & drinks by the full Moon late in the week
Lunch with an ocean view
We even remembered a family picture & Taylor flashes a thumbs up waiting for a show after a beach buffet dinner
All the girls enjoy some neon - they would later be horrified just minutes into the surprisingly adult themed entertainment that was filled with firm bodies, skin (lots of it), short dresses, bull whips, and prop chairs which the female performers snuck off with after for their next "show"
Great adult only restaurant where we enjoyed a laugh filled evening with friends followed by 2 outstanding lunches later in the week
Our final night we finished with an excellent Hibachi dinner
Dad was called up to perform egg flips where on his 2nd chance he rattled off 11 in a row before the egg finally succumbed to the beating
Fried Rice & Veggies followed by....
...a shrimp, steak, and chicken main course
