February 4th - A Busy Day in North Texas

February 4th epitomized the mantra of "staying busy" for us this year.  We had a trio of events to pull off ranging including sweets, sports and formals.  The festivities started at 10am with a morning birthday party with friends at Icream.  Lego "Bricks for Kids" provided the entertainment and not only did the girls get to eat ice cream but they got to make it.  The Panthers basketball team was well represented!

Panthers vs. Champions
Just as the party ended we headed directly to the Fieldhouse for some basketball.  It has been a tough season for the Panthers but we've seen improvement the past few games - this was one of our more competitive contests but after a close game the Panthers fell by 3 points.

Taylor fights hard for a loose rebound...
...and shows her many game postures...
...fingers crossed the Free Throw drops!
Jordan got a few good looks by the basket -
but just missed having one drop today
Taylor got a great pass from teammate Grace, fired off a shot, and everyone looked up as dropped in!
The two celebrated at mid court!  Let's take a Selfie!
Daddy Daughter Dance
Contrary to popular belief the Super Bowl was on Saturday the 4th and not Sunday the 5th - we're not talking about the over hyped NFL game - around here the Super Bowl is the yearly Daddy Daughter Dance.  This year boasted an Emerald City theme

All dressed up with somewhere to go
J&T scored all the props of the dance - Flowers, Candy, and Shopkins!
Hats off to Mom who put in the hard work of prepping the Princesses
The chariot has arrived - just enough time for a Selfie!
We reviewed a quick reminder of the rules as we checked in and quickly found the dance floor
Taylor ponders what the next song up will be and Jordan shows her dismay when the Whip It Nae Nae suddenly shuts off due to technical difficulties
The dance was a real Dolphins Party as we hung out with Addison, Grace,
 Emme,
Olivia, and the Cashman Sisters - Julia & Sarah,
We later scored pictures with multiple Dorothy's
For the 3rd year in a row we ended the night with a Mexican feast at La Hacienda!
"I had the time of my life" so thanks for the amazing dance and day!
