Holiday Season '16

Happy Holidays from North Texas!  We had a fantastic holiday season where both Mom & Dad had significant time off from work.  We enjoyed a "restful" break but still managed to embrace a litany of holiday traditions and get out of the house.

We got a jump start on the season with a trip to 6 Flags Holiday in the Park the day before Thanksgiving - J&T showed tremendous grit by riding the New Texas Giant while we enjoyed 6 hours at the park, mild weather and short lines on what is notoriously a light attendance day
#onetoomany - later that weekend both our Christmas trees went up
Season of giving - we rolled into December with our Dolphins team party at Braum's- Ice Cream, Silver Medallions & Award Certificates were on the menu
There is no offseason - just 2 days after we closed out an amazing Fall season, half the team was in the Frisco High School Soccer Skills Clinic
Winter break!  J&T enjoy holiday parties at Purefoy Elementary while they prepared for 17 days off from school!
Kitchen traditions galore - Gingerbread Houses...
...and Holiday Cookies
Gifts, gifts, and more gifts!  The girls enjoyed multiple rounds of giving and receiving - first it was with each other where the theme was Rainbow Ice Cream & Panda Bears...
...next up were gifts from the Michigan Kalmar's

Christmas Eve
Later there was dinner and yet another round of gifts at Grandma & Grandpa Sanderson's
The magic of Christmas Eve
Final round of gifts where the big scores were laptops...
...and Dak Prescott gear
Out & About!
All kinds of family time including a trip to the movies for Rouge One
25+ hours of park time
A post Christmas trip to 6 Flags - our 5th trip since scoring the passes in September with all of '17 to go - We spent 5 hours at the park which was jam-packed with people due to the favorable 80+ degree temps
Eating Popcorn while in line for the Harley-Quinn and Jordan flashes her baby blues while we patiently wait for dinner
Off to Dr Pepper Arena for some ice skating & selfies
Taylor needed a bit of a hand while Jordan was Miss Independent
It was a rare New Year's Eve at home - Mom put together a great menu including Meatballs, Pigs-in-a-Blanket, Antipasto, and Fruit Skewers!  We enjoyed sharing resolutions, Mario Kart, Clue, a variety of card games, and Mariah Carey's "walk off" performance on New Years Rockin' Eve!
See you in 2017!!!
