Field Day Episode III - The Return of Taylor

Field Day - the Super Bowl of all school events!  Taylor made her triumphant return after missing most of the 2015 event with a broken arm.  The weather was not for the faint of heart as a light drizzle greeted our young athletes during the opening ceremonies & a stiff breeze impacted several events.  Conditions improved as time went on and hats off to the administrators for showing the wherewithal to proceed despite the seedy forecast.  A great time was had by all!

1st event of the wet morning and Taylor uncorked a blast at the batting station
She later handled this monster football through the cones
Fun with rubber chickens!
Then doing the chicken dance
Jordan mastered the sack race and tire roll
The agility events looked great despite a month long break from training

They've got the pedigree for Track & Field and it showed at the Long Jump
The quintessential "I'm better then you" event is the 40yd dash.  Taylor was much improved in this facet of her game.  She may not have beat the fastest boy in class but he was hearing some footsteps that warranted a look back during her 2nd place run
Jordan on the other hand buried the competition - female...
...& male - these photos illustrate her ability to pull away late -
with the instinct to lean into the tape
On to the bouncy balls where we experienced the thrill of victory & the agony of defeat
After the events of the day we even found time to hit the monkey bars

Another successful Field Day! Great job girls!
