Where else would you rather be during the hottest week of the summer? The FSA sponsored UK Elite Soccer camp delivered some memorable moments for both girls as Jordan put on a show and Taylor proved she's all the way back from her offseason arm injury. The girls got stronger as the full week camp progressed despite gradually increasing temps & sun. Hats off to Coach Luke, Shea, and the entire UK Elite team for a great camp.
The games proved to motivate all the kids between skills drills - this was the fastest Dad has ever seen Taylor run during this game of Minions
Taylor keeps up with Jordan using her new found speed
Some of the girls best ball dodges...
Jordan takes it right up the middle in the last round en route to a game championship - she truly ran the gauntlet as she avoided high speed shots from Taylor and the best boy player in the group
Taylor protects the ball well and survived several rounds of this takeaway drill
Touch drills challenged the girls to keep the ball in the air
The coaches mixed it up with the kids all week. Dad's favorite was an attack drill where Jordan got to go toe-to-toe with Coach Luke
Taylor went against Coach Shea and took off when she got the ball from him
Each day ended with some scrimmaging
"Playing up" with the 9-10 year olds - the head wraps give you an idea of the blazing heat
Jordan shows perfect dribbling form with her head up scanning downfield...
and later shined like the bright sun head-to-head making a sharp cut,
dribbling into open space
and confidently trotting to midfield after scoring
Taylor has her hands full with these 2 pint sized boys
The last and hottest day of camp, Jordan powered Team USA to a World Cup tournament title leading the team in scoring!!! Dad was so excited following the action he only got this single pic!
Taylor nailed this score shooting the ball between her opponents legs and directly into the goal - her England team would come in 2nd place in the tournament
It's autographs & pictures as the camp ends!
1st game is September 12th!
