Fall Flashback

The holidays already?  Yes the season is upon us and it was easy for it to sneak up as we have had a busy fall!  It feels like we went from summer directly to winter and had to trade short sleeve t-shirts for jackets and hats in an instant as a Polar Vortex brought the coldest November week since the 1800's.  The cold air launched us into the holiday spirit and North Texas bounced out of the winter weather with a mild Thanksgiving week that allowed us to be out and about as Dad enjoyed a week off from work.  It was great to reflect on everything we are thankful for and look back at some of the fun stuff we did the past few months!

Taylor & Jordan show off their CMU gear during their school college spirit event!
More school events - these girls aren't just soccer super athletes!  They racked up best in class lap counts at the Fit Flash Dash where the school kids racked up 35k to fill the PTA coffers!
Taylor works the tires in her knee high yellow stockings
Jordan & Taylor hit the agility ladders with cat-like precision

Jordan slows down for a water break
Taylor took a break from all the athletics for some much needed girl time at a Sweet & Sassy party
Princess - don't forget your scepter!
What a beautiful bunch of royalty!
As soon as Soccer season ended we turned our focus to taking the training wheels off our bikes.  We headed to the neighborhood golf course to take advantage of the hilly terrain.  We were all very impressed with the girls balance and how quick they were riding free and clear of any help.

Taylor graduates to the cart path and gets a light push from Dad to get going
By our third lesson the girls were looking like pro's...
...with an occasional tumble
As we break from bike riding, Jordan shows her skills on the monkey bars
The Polar Vortex is here!  The girls touch the first dusting of snow this season just hours after enjoying warm temperatures and bike rides
We were excited that Cousin Katie was able to come by for a few hours when her job brought her to North Texas - Katie is now our most frequent Texas visitor racking up a hat trick of visits!
We kept really busy during Thanksgiving week including Thanksgiving/Black Friday shopping and decorating for the holidays.  The day before Thanksgiving brought the chance to accompany some friends to Six Flags over Texas.  It was a beautiful day but we did not want to be denied the opportunity to dress in layers!  After all our practice at Disney, Six Flags was the veritable "walk in the park."

Jordan poses by a park fountain
Taylor had to step on her tippy-toes to make the height minimum for a ride on the Rodeo with Dad
All the kids get a thrill in Looney-Tunes Land
Mom snaps this selfie while we ride the Teacups - we're all bundled up and were surprised to see the temp was a balmy 56 when we left the park!
"That's all folks!"
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
