Spring Break '14

Don't look now but it's already Spring Break!  Although we looked forward to some downtime we managed to piece together some fun outings.  Mom and girls had a real adventure when they went camping with some neighborhood families.  Dad scored a day off from work and everyone headed to the Sea Life Aquarium.  Speaking of scoring, Taylor netted a key goal as the Dolphins got their first victory of the young season.  Another great week in North Texas!

Red Hots vs. Dolphins
We're all really excited for Taylor who played the best game to date of her short career against the Red Hots.  It was a early start highlighted with chilly temps and a light misty rain.  Taylor epitomized the mantra "early bird gets the worm" as she was a driving force in a good win.

Taylor moves to clear the ball from deep in her own territory,
works the ball past a defender,
finds some space as she powers up the field,
and was only stopped by a tripping penalty!
Soccer - Just for kicks?  Jordan avoids this wheel kick,
Taylor dodges this mule kick,
and tiptoes up the sideline to avoid this front kick!
Anatomy of a goal - Taylor steals the ball,
 Splits two defenders,
 fakes out a third,
and just after this final cutback, she finds the back of the net for the score!
This is how we celebrate goals around here!
 Congratulations Dolphins!
The sun and rain create a fitting way to end a great week
