After a great time on the farm and a whole bunch of fun excursions we closed out our Michigan vacation with a weekend drive to Mount Pleasant and a walk down memory lane at the Central Michigan University campus. 15 years is a long time for Dad (class of '98) and Mom (class of '99) and the campus was a rebuilt maze! After getting our bearings back we had a nice tour of campus that included an all access trip to Dad's old dorm, the chance to pose at some landmarks, and a drive through town. The girls got their CMU gear and just in time we left campus and headed strait to the Soaring Eagle Water Park for a night with Uncle Bill Jr, Aunt Gretchen, and the Cousins. The next day we stopped at Bronner's to get a jump on holiday shopping and take a few more pictures. All in all we had an amazing family vacation and left Michigan with great memories and a bunch of pictures!
On the way to Mount Pleasant we stopped for lunch and visited with Caryn's Uncle Flip, Aunt Chris, and Grandmother.
Now we hit the CMU campus!
8/23/96 - Dad and Mom met at the "Wayside" on her 21st birthday - we were happy to see it was still there.

Dad's old dorm (Herrig)
The girls at the front desk were nice enough to let us in the dorm and Jordan and Taylor pose in front of Dad's old bed! It looks kind of small!
Jordan poses at a new gazabo
Yet another family pic at a campus landmark
None of this was here when we went to school! It must be our generous alumni donations
Welcome to the old apartment - this is where Mom used to live...
Even Kelly-Shorts stadium has been expanded and a high tech scoreboard added
Fast forward to the Water park - Taylor and Jordan warm-up on the little slides

They're in there somewhere under 317 gallons of water
Kalmar girls wait for evening storytime...
They only were a little creeped out by the robot Indian Storyteller
Shifting gears we stopped by Bronner's Christmas Wonderland on the ride home - the girls are already in the spirit
Not just for Christmas - Also Halloween decor was available
There's the Christmas train
Go Tigers!

Taylor makes a great Snowman
One final picture of all the kids
Unfortunately all good things must come to an end so our great Michigan adventure has come and gone. We had such a great time and can't wait to see everyone again soon!
