Cabo had a "different" beach scene than Puerto Vallarta - During Spring Break, the best action was on the beach - walks, calm surf, the Pier, and all kinds of people watching. Fast forward to Cabo - the beach was a desolate & dangerous wasteland chock full of Riptides, rough surf, and an offshore Hurricane!
Massive surf pounds the beach minutes after we arrived at the resort with Hurricane Flossie lingering ~ 300 miles offshore
The weather changed in minutes as bright sun gave way to dark cloud bands
Just a short trek West of the resort, locals were fishing and risking their lives swimming in the rough surf
The storm passes & we are on the beach checking out the view of the resort
The Hurricane was long gone, but the waves were still daunting
East of the resort there was lots of sand & the Tiger Woods golf course
If you head that way about you'll stumble across some massive rocks...
...with a private lagoon
Strong waves = big erosion
Stopped for a selfie
Locals hang out here - you can tell from the artwork - Sunburst,
Moon,
and Star
Back by the resort, and we are on the beach - Taylor by the sea wall,
Mom & Dad by calmer waters
Other beach action included weddings (at least a half dozen during the week)
and Cruise ships passing by
At sunset, we got it together and took family pictures
