For the final leg of the trip we headed 3 hours West to Washington DC!
Free Slurpee's at 7-Eleven on National 7/11 Day
We were settled in the hotel by Noon and headed directly to the National Mall & Capitol Building
Everyone gets their picture taken with the Capitol
Suspicious black vehicles were spotted heading in and out of the building
Once inside we were impressed with how organized the tours were

Headed to "The Wharf" for dinner after 12 long miles of walking, we saw this random road closure
The sun sets on an amazing 2-week trip!
D.C. was an exhausting 30-hour whirlwind but we squeezed in everything we could, including a flight delay home before landing back in Texas
