Holidays '22

It's the most wonderful time of the year!  Here's how we closed out 2022...

The gateway to the holidays is Halloween and it provided the chance to come together for creepy shenanigans...
Fusion Soccer headed to the Frisco Haunted Trail to take on some spooky spirits
We were happy Taylor & some friends went Trick-Or-Treating (candy score!)
We all headed to "Cut" to get into the witching season, enjoy dinner & the movie "Smile" - it had a lasting physical impact on all of us!

Thanksgiving
Not a traditional start to Thanksgiving week as Mom, Dad, & Jordan took to the road and headed to Tulsa for a College Showcase Soccer Tournament - we were excited to stop at a Buckee's on the way!
The teams battled through the coldest conditions of the season and bonded in the lobby when not on the field - Jordan notched a beautiful Assist during the weekend when she dropped a long Free Kick in front of the goal for a teammate to finish

Players & Coaches huddle around the fire
Back in town and we got thrown a curve ball when we found out Thanksgiving morning we would be staying home
On short notice, Mom put together a great setting for the meal and we enjoyed a catered dinner (Norma's Cafe)
Great spread (Mom made the Apple Pie)
After Thanksgiving we were decorating the Christmas Tree and celebrated an incredible Michigan victory over Ohio St!  Dad & Jordan take a pause to show off their favorite ornaments...
All Smiles as the tree comes together
Holiday Happenings:
Taylor & the Color Guard in the Wakeland Winter Concert (Taylor far left)
Rough weather stretched across the country - our Aunt's business, Chapman Antique's, made a cameo in the background during a weather update (and we caught it on our favorite channel)
Despite being under the weather, Jordan got up early to watch the World Cup Final with her Dad...
...it was an epic match and the entire family gathered for the dramatic Penalty Kick conclusion!
A break from work means long walks for Snickers through the neighborhood, down the Cottonwood Creek & Cotton Gin Trails...

...and sleeepy holiday afternoons
Taylor got into the spirit and built a Target Gingerbread House
Holiday Cookies!!!
Teamwork
Snickers checks out the goods - the treats turned out awesome!
Getting festive - incredible holiday village display for all to see in our neighbor's garage!
"Christmas in the Square" is a Frisco tradition and a massive light show in the center of town
Sights from downtown...

Christmas Morning - we have the benefit of late-sleeping teens so the early hours were quiet & peaceful

Here we go...
Reactions from all our gift exchanges...

Gift of the Year?!?!? - LED lights dramatically changed the ambiance in the girls bedrooms & Dad's Gym
We wrapped the day as we typicaly do on Christmas - Mario Kart competition late into the evening!
Happy Holidays!
Bring on 2023!!!
