We blinked and April is upon us! We survived what weather experts in North Texas described as a "10 year winter" where we had 30+ freezes. While these are business as usually numbers for some other places we have lived, this was a difficult season here - including a rough Flu run where Dad & Taylor each got the dreaded illness. Despite all of that, we managed to stay busy with school & sports driving most the activities.
Purple Panthers Basketball - the team showed great improvement this season winning multiple games including a 18-2 playoff beat down of a higher seeded opponent where Jordan scored multiple baskets!
All smiles after the big playoff tournament victory!
January & February had a string of school events including a brown-beating performance where Taylor and her other friends fought back against the bullying color red
More school as the girls found great success in the regional photography contest - Taylor won an Award of Excellence & Jordan brought home a Best in Class PTA Award. They are also following in their Dad's footsteps by participating in the choir!
On career day Jordan calmly explained to the crowd that she could not go wrong with a career as a Veterinarian or Artist and later was congratulated on her strong delivery by her sister
Seems a bit young but we are up to our tonsils in Orthodontics - J&T have different reactions to their "Expanders"
There is no off season - despite the brutal weather we found all kinds of creative ways to practice Soccer - below J&T get in the correct mindset before one of our famous garage workouts
Jordan works on 1-touch with a Pit Trainer
Taylor works on footwork with our new "Dribble Up" ball & poses during one of our epic bike rides
Jordan gets a jolt of static electricity at the playground
Not just amateur photographers - the girls are also novice painters
We had a blast at Lee Lighting checking out new fixtures while J&T plugged in
More shopping - this time for furniture - despite the lobbying the girls were denied bunk beds
Seems like what we did the most the past few months was eat - the girls sneak a treat as a stimulated Snickers looks on
If you are heading out to eat you might as well ride in style in the front seat! Mom & Jordan enjoy IHOP
Jordan proves she can finish a 6 inch sub & order her own meal at Taco Bell
If not Taco Bell then it's Taco Bueno!
Dad & Taylor enjoy some pizza at Your Pie...
...and later hit up In & Out Burger while running errands
Spring Break kinda snuck up on us this year - we didn't do a ton but we got out to the Ft Worth Zoo and enjoyed some beautiful weather
Taylor touches a massive Python
Great view of a Rhino
The cats were "active" as Mom got a picture of this sleepy Lion...
...and Dad snapped a shot of the Albino Tiger
Not to be outdone, this Elephant repeatedly smashed this log into the ground
Here comes Easter!
