Shrine Circus!!!
It had been awhile since the girls had been to the Circus so when the Shrine Circus came to the Frisco Arena we jumped on the chance to go. This was by far the biggest Circus production we had taken in and the show blew us away. The early show time only enhanced the excitement as people crowded into the arena in droves. There was some early concern as Jordan was scared by the clowns and all the noise they generated from the crowd. But the big Tigers came out and the girls were literally on the edge of their seats. A talented DJ rocked the house as acrobats, BMX/Motocross bikers, and dancers, filled the 3 rings. But the centerpiece of the show was a tremendously talented elephant who took our breath away. The show was closed out by a man shot out of a cannon. Overall tremendous entertainment and it set a new precedent for our Circus experiences in the future.
Kalmar girls anxiously await the show to start!
Clown waives to the girls
Jordan cries! Damn that clown!
Big Tiger gently tiptoes across the obstacle
Tigers follow every command
The best clown bit of the day was this "walking stuffed elephant" - Taylor shed a tear when she thought the toy was broke. But she was relieved to see it was a dog inside.
Amazing acrobatics
The star of the show gently worked this barrel across the ring
Great balance!
For all the yoga fans out there - this elephant nailed "Crane"
Human Cannonball works the crowd
Girls pushed for elephant rides but the ponies looked safer
Jordan overcomes her clown fear
This place is a 3-Ring circus - literally
Alas the show must end - the littlest clown leaves the ring
