Destin Vacation - First Leg to Hattiesburg, MS

Our family vacation finally arrived and we were off to Hattiesburg, MS. We didn't see Brett Favre in his hometown but Dad did enjoy driving past a real "old school" college football stadium when the family drove past the Independence Dowl in Shreveport, LA. The girls behaved pretty good for the ride and Mom kept them busy with all kinds of fun projects. After their first stay in a hotel, the family hit the Hattiesburg Zoo Saturday morning. The zoo impressed all with solid African and South American exhibits. The Jaguar enclosure provided close access and the cat was actively pacing while he eye'd up the twins. The Prarie Dogs were a favorite and we wrapped the tour up with a train ride around the grounds. It was time to go as we had to hit the road to get to Destin by check in time. More to come!
